National Meadows Day

Today it is the first Saturday in July, which means that here in the UK it is National Meadows Day. This day is all about getting out in the countryside and exploring these wonderful habitats. It also recognises the work of different organisations aiming to preserve these natural landscapes, providing homes for many protected species.

I particularly love visiting meadows, as there is such an abundance of colour and life, meaning that there is plenty of photo opportunities.
